The client was challenged by a very steep driveway that made parking and accessing the front door very difficult. I developed a plan that located a flat parking area closer to the front door while preserving a large existing Silver Maple and other plant material.
The Client also had a small, featureless rear yard. The landscape plan that provided shade, seating, and a pool and fountain to allow the owner could enjoy his hobby of raising Koi. The plan was implemented over time and became a prized retreat for the owners.
The preservation of a large, mature Silver Maple tree in the front yard required coordinating with an arborist. We worked together to locate and avoid large roots through the use of an air spade, spread footings and grade beams for new retaining walls. These measures resulted in a finished project that did not harm the maple.
